Rex Herbert Terry who graduated from Greencastle High School in 1948 was killed on October 6, 1952 at the battlefront in Korea.  In his junior year of HS Rex was selected as one of the varsity yell leaders.  It is the desire of Rex’s graduating class, the Class of 1948 that Rex be remembered not only by people who knew him then but also by those of you who might have known him.  Therefore the Class of 1948 wishes to present an annual award to the varsity yell leader most deserving of recognition. The selection of his yell leader will be made by the student council and the council’s selection will be determined by the yell leader who they feel is most outstanding in sportsmanship, attitude, ability and scholarship. Upon selection of the student council, Donna Gorham, a senior in the HS was presented with the Terry Award for this school year. – kbz
